I build things to accelerate human progress. The question I ask about new projects or companies is simple: does this move society forward towards a more positive world, or does it just add noise and capitalize on our weaknesses as humans?
Most of my work has been in distributed systems and cryptography. These days I’m focused on robotics and space. Robotics frees us from repetitive work. Space forces us to solve hard problems that ripple back to Earth. Together, these open new frontiers for human flourishing and exploration.
